Guided Visit of Fontainebleau

Fontainebleau castle was classified World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 1981. Regularly occupied during eight centuries, the residence has been continuously magnified and embellished by all the French sovereigns who have been living there.

At the entrance of the castle, the only royal and imperial castle continually inhabited for seven centuries, you will be astounded by the amazing horseshoe-shaped staircase. Your driver-guide will take you into the castle and start the visit. Discover the Chapel of the Trinity and the huge Francis I art gallery, which inspired the Versailles Hall of Mirrors. You will be glad to learn about Fontainebleau's history, walking through numerous ceremonial receiving rooms and private chambers in a gorgeous setting: the Ballroom, the guard's room, the Throne room, the council chamber and Napoleon's apartments.

The tour ends with some free time to stroll around the gardens at your leisure.
